For an ambitious dairy farm with 450 dairy cows, we are looking for temporary farm workers in the calving season. This season begins in February and ends in late May. During this period, all 450 dairy cows calving within 6 weeks. You can imagine the hustle and bustle that causes, which is why a few extra pairs of hands are most welcome.

This dairy farm belongs to an Irish owner and is run by a Dutch manager. The Dutch manager serves as your daily supervisor. There is a wide range activities, so we can figure out the best position for you in consultation. What needs to be done: milking cows, helping cows calve, feeding and caring for calves, feeding cows, maintenance around the yard, etc.

This is a wonderful opportunity to gain more experience around calves. Seeing 450 calves being born in such a short time is an incredible experience. Hard work deserves some hard play too. We think it is important that you have an enjoyable period that you can look back on with a smile. We will make sure you get time to explore Ireland and get to know this beautiful country. The farm is 40 minutes from Cork; there is plenty to do nearby.

Are you available from January through May (through April is an option)? Do you have some experience working on a dairy farm? If yes, this is a great experience for you!

What else do you need for this job? You need to be able to work independently, because you are here during the busiest time of the year. You need to be experienced in milking cows and handling livestock. You also need to have a valid driver’s license.
