The vacancy

Who are we looking for?

You know better than anyone how things work on a dairy farm. You are like a fish in water in the milking parlour, you are good with cows and calves and perhaps most importantly; you see the work, tackle it and arrange it. Is this your attitude? Then you will feel completely at home on this dairy farm.

You are a assistant manager who wants to work in a nice multicultural team, and loves a good balance of working and life;
or
you are a all-round employee with experience and want to take the next step. After a while you will progress to assistant manager (second in command).
If you have:
• experience on a dairy farm and you are ready for the next step;
• you are proactive, see the work and act on it;
• you are eager to learn;
• and you are holding a clear driver’s license, then this is you job!

You will support the farm manager with his daily work and together you will determine which tasks you will be doing. If the farm manager is absent you will replace him. This dairy farming is grass-based and spring calving. The owner is Irish, and the farm manager is Dutch.
The farm has modern facilities and that is very pleasant to work with, isn’t it?

The work

What are you going to do?

All common things on the farm such as:

  • Milking cows
  • Grass management
  • Herd management like treating sick cows and hoof trimming
  • Maintenance around the yard and machinery
  • Replacing the farm manager in his absence and manage the daily work
