The owners of the farm are not there on a daily basis, you are responsible for running the farm.
They have, together with your, a clear short- and long-term vision, and together you will go all the way for that.

The vacancy

What are we looking for?

On this farm you have the freedom to arrange the daily activities as you wish, because after all you are the expert. And that is why you know better than anyone what needs to be done and how.
You work together with 2 full-time employees who are working there for years.

You are an experienced farm manager who is ready for the next step; running the day-to-day activities on your own.
And that also means regular milking, grass management, machine work, and maintenance. In addition, you think along with the owners about strategies regarding nutrition, animal genetics, feed management, modernization of technology and health management. There will be two weekly meetings with the owners.

This farm has 360 dairy cows and the cows calve in the spring.
The cows are milked in a 32 unit rotary milking parlour.

The work

What are you going to do?

You are responsible for the daily running of the farm, a part of your work activities are:

  • thinking with and advising the owners
  • all common activities and managing the employees
  • herd management
  • grass management

  • Salary depends on knowledge and experience, starting from € 50.000 gross on annual basis
